Rear spring removal
The rear spring was easy to remove. The tension on the spring was removed using a vise grip and a piece off pipe (which I cut groves in so the vise grip set into it ) and a floor jack. After relieving the tension of the spring the two bolts were removed with difficulty because rust and age. After the bolts were removed the four bolts holding the plate that was attached to the differential were removed and out came the spring which was about forty pounds.
Next the strut rods, half shafts, and swing arms. Finally the differential will be removed.
Steering linkage removed
I removed the steering linage and the steering box off all in one piece. It much easier removal and storage.
After removing the steering the front end removal was completed. Then I went to the rear.
Removed the calipers and drilled out the rotors which were never removed and the emergency cable.

Engine Removal and Engine on stand
The engine removal was very easy since I had the cherry picker in place to remove the transmission and floor jack supporting the rear of the block. Placing the engine on the stand was easy because the stand supports bolted directly to where the engine mount plates were bolted to the block. Engine stand was purchased from JEG automotive and engine lift chain from Eastwood.
Next putting the chassis on the rolling chassis dolly.
